the most delicious dust

my friend joe told me about something strange that he used to do when he was about 4 years old...

when his mother would cook spaghetti, little joey would get too hungry to wait, so she'd give him a few strands of dry pasta to tide him over, but he wasn't satisfied with just eating the pasta strands on their own. he'd go around the house and find collections of dust and use the pasta to wipe up/collect the dust as if using a tiny little squeegee...   then he'd eat the dust encrusted spaghetti strands. however, not content with the flavors of the dust he'd found, he set out to find the tastiest dust in the house (i didn't ask, but i'll pretend that this took him years to do). after further dust deposit samplings, he concluded that the most delicious dust resided on the lower shelf of the end-table next to the couch in their living room. and from then on, that was his main source of dietary dust.
i can't imagine why that dust would be any tastier...   but i kind of want a taste now.

the dreaded laugh-talker...

oh no!!! 2 entries in one day!! what's going on here?!?!? anyway, i feel the need to vent to my journal about the laugh-talker... she's one of those people that when i hear her i grit my teeth... i almost feel bad about how much i loathe her, since i'm sure she's a nice person, behind that sinister laugh-talk of hers!! so, what's her deal you ask?? what makes one a laugh-talker?? i'll tell you! it's quite simple really, and the name is very indicative of what it is... she talks whilst laughing, it's hard to explain in type... but it's something like this: random person: hey laugh-talker, what's new? laugh-talker: ha-ha-not-ha much-hahaha random person: nice, what'd you do this weekend? laugh-talker: he-he-i went-ho-ha to the ha-ha-movies-he-ho i'm not exagerating, she does this obnoxious laugh-talk for no god-damn reason!! i mean, the things she's laugh-talking about aren't even in the realm of funny... and she alway

the strange man i spent two nights with...

whilst in the hospital i did have the luxury of having a private room for the first 2 days. around 2 am on the second night the nurse woke me up to let me know that someone else needed a private room more than i did, so i got moved to a shared room. luckily the rooms are divided by two huge curtains that envelope each patient's bed entirely, so there was a good amount of privacy. the guy i was with was a 44 year old black man (he looked more like 64), i don't know exactly why he was there, other than the fact that he was clearly out of his mind. but he was a quiet kind of crazy, luckily. he didn't really talk to me at all, which was fine by me. but when he did talk he was really slow, probably due to sedatives he was on. the curtains were hung so they came up about 2 feet from the floor, so when mister crazy would get out of bed i could see his feets moving around... going to the bathroom (where he wouldn't bother to close the door, lift the seat or flush the bowl) o
